Anju Sinha

Dr. Anju Sinha, is a Public health professional trained in Epidemiology, experienced in conduct of large scale community based field trials. She has worked as Surveillance Medical officer in the National Polio Surveillance Project of WHO in Bihar, Jharkhand and U.P, areas that faced huge challenges in polio eradication In India. As Senior, Deputy Director general, Division of RBMCH she coordinated research opportunities to bring out effective strategies for prevention and control of morbidities among women and children. She expanded the scope of research in Child Health in the areas of Childhood and Adolescent Anemia, Injuries, Social Pediatrics issues -Children living in difficult circumstances, Prevention and management of Prematurity, role of Probiotics in Women’s and child Health and Evidence Based Child Health.

Presently she is the Director of the Cochrane Affiliate centre at ICMR Hqrs and Co-chairs the Cochrane India Network. She is leading a MRC UKRI funded trial on role of Probiotics in prevention of Neonatal sepsis ongoing at 6 sites in India. She is actively involved with training and capacity building in systematic reviews and has produced quality collaborative systematic reviews, with recognized national and international impact. Recipient of the Aubrey Sheiham Public Health and Primary Care Scholarship and the Kenneth Warren Award from the Cochrane Collaboration. She has more than 64 publications to her credit
