Background
The evidence for making policy, program and practice decisions is based on careful analyses and syntheses of multiple studies. The use of systematic reviews and meta-analyses are conducted across variety of questions such as extent of the problem, the risk and protective factors, acceptance of interventions in different populations, what works best, for whom, under what conditions, and at what cost as well as how much evidence is available in a particular sector and the gaps in evidence.
Objective
The aim of this workshop was to introduce Systematic Review Methodology and EGMs in social sciences. The course used a combination of lectures, group work and practical sessions to introduce several topics.
