Redolen Rose Dhar is a distinguished public health researcher and healthcare professional, currently advancing her academic pursuits by working towards a PhD in Public Health at the Department of Health Information Management, Manipal College of Health Professions, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), India. Her doctoral research is a profound exploration of the economic and socio-cultural dimensions of cancer care among tribal families in Meghalaya. This research places a significant emphasis on understanding the crucial factors influencing health-seeking behaviour, the financial burden associated with cancer care, and the accessibility of medical services for these communities.
Redolen has gained valuable experience working with prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institute of Public Health in Shillong and the Centre for the Study of Complex Malaria in India. Currently, she also shares her expertise by teaching at MAHE. Her dedication and contributions to public health have been recognised through the National Fellowship for Tribal Students, highlighting her commitment to enhancing the well-being of tribal communities. Additionally, she is an active member of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Collaborator Network, further cementing her role as a key contributor to global health research.
