Nishtha Bhawalpuria is a social development researcher and program manager with over six years’ experience across various social development domain such as public health, social inclusion, and livelihoods. Her work sits at the intersection of research management, policy-relevant research, capacity building, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
She has led implementation and research projects from design through delivery. As Research Manager at Catalyst Management Services, she managed impact assessment studies for corporate social responsibility initiatives and international NGOs. Earlier, as Technical Officer – Knowledge Management at The Voluntary Health Services, she worked extensively on public health emergency management. Her work there included systematic reviews, community-level emergency management capacity assessments, and the development of policy-oriented documents. She has also implemented large-scale social inclusion programs for urban, rural, and tribal communities in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, respectively.
Nishtha holds an MSc in Research for International Development from SOAS, University of London, and an MA in Development from Azim Premji University. She aims to focus on producing evidence that is usable, timely, and directly relevant to program design and policy decisions.
